Veterans
We proudly support veterans who are transitioning from military service to civilian life and seeking stability in a respectful, structured environment. Our residence offers a peaceful, community-oriented setting where veterans can regain balance and build independence. While residing in our program, veterans are encouraged to engage with external resources such as VA services, employment programs, and wellness supports to promote long-term success.
Independent seniors
Our program welcomes independent seniors who are capable of managing their daily living activities but desire a safe, affordable, and community-focused housing option. We provide a calm and structured environment that encourages autonomy while reducing isolation. Seniors can maintain their independence while benefiting from a supportive setting and access to outside services as needed.
Re-entry
At The Healing Initiative, we provide a supportive pathway for individuals returning to the community after incarceration who are committed to rebuilding their lives. We emphasize structure, accountability, and personal growth within a family-like environment. Participants are encouraged to pursue employment, education, and positive community engagement while utilizing external support systems that reinforce long-term stability and independence.
Domestic Violence Survivors
We offer a safe, stable, and empowering environment for individuals transitioning from domestic violence situations. Our program is grounded in respect, privacy, and safety, allowing participants the space to heal and rebuild their lives. While we do not provide in-house clinical services, we connect participants with community-based resources such as counseling, legal advocacy, and support groups to assist in their healing journey and help them regain independence.
Addiction Recovery
As a drug/alcohol-free environment, we support individuals who are in recovery and committed to maintaining a substance-free lifestyle. Our structured living environment reinforces accountability, stability, and personal responsibility. Participants are expected to actively engage in their recovery through external programs such as outpatient treatment, counseling, and/or support groups. Our program serves as a stable foundation to help individuals continue progressing in their recovery journey.
Low-Income
Our program provides affordable housing opportunities for individuals facing financial hardship who are motivated to achieve stability and independence. We support participants in securing employment, managing finances, and building sustainable life skills. We also connect participants with community resources that may assist with employment, benefits, and other supportive services.
